It started with our daughter's third birthday in Wellington. We needed a caterer who could do the cuisine we wanted, someone to decorate the stage, and a kids' entertainer. Finding them meant hours of Google searches, scrolling Facebook groups and Marketplace listings, and chasing replies. Everything happened on the vendors' terms, and we couldn't tell whether we were spending our money wisely.

We wanted to spend well and still get great service from local businesses. So we built the platform we wished we'd had: describe your event once, and let local vendors come to you with quotes you can compare. It works the same for a family planning a birthday as for a business planning a large conference.

It's just as much about the vendors. Times are tough for small businesses, and Event Nest gives local vendors a steady way to find new customers who need exactly what they offer.
