Common questions
Is Event Nest free to use?
Yes. Event Nest is always free for personal and individual organisers, so if you're planning your own wedding, birthday or party, posting your event and getting quotes costs nothing. Until 31 December 2026 it's also free for businesses. There are no listing fees and no commission on bookings.
How are vendors checked?
Every vendor confirms their email address and phone number, and our team reviews and approves their profile before they can send you a quote. We're adding business registration and licence checks soon.
What happens after I post my event?
Our team checks your request, then sends it to vendors in your area who offer the services you picked. You'll get an email for each quote, and you can message any vendor who quoted before you decide.
Who sees my contact details?
Vendors who receive your request see your event details and your name. Your email address and phone number are shared with a vendor only when you accept their quote, so they can get in touch to finalise things.
Can I use Event Nest for corporate events?
Yes. Choose Corporate & Community when you post, for conferences, staff events, product launches, Christmas parties and more. Business events are free until 31 December 2026.
How does Event Nest make money?
Personal and individual organisers will always use Event Nest for free. Until 31 December 2026 it's free for businesses and vendors too, while we grow the platform across Aotearoa. After that we're planning subscription plans for businesses that use Event Nest to find work. We haven't set the details yet; we'll decide closer to the time and announce any change here before it takes effect.
